What the CSSE 11+ test involves, and what's here for it.
What the CSSE test involves
The CSSE 11+ (set by the Consortium of Selective Schools in Essex) has two papers, English and maths. Unlike the Kent Test, answers are written in rather than multiple choice.
Maths
Written entrance-exam questions across the full CSSE topic list, answered write-in rather than multiple choice.
English
A comprehension passage with written-answer questions, plus a continuous-writing task.
What this site offers for it
This is the exam the site was built for: topic-by-topic maths practice, relaxed practice papers, full timed mock papers and predicted papers, and animated Learn courses — every one style-matched to the real CSSE format, with instant marking and a topic-by-topic breakdown of weak spots.
The Englishportal covers the same exam's comprehension and writing papers too — vocabulary practice, timed mock papers, creative-writing sets and Learn lessons, all marked against the real CSSE mark scheme.
